Check the haircut and uniform of your ward in the morning before he/she leaves for school. Also ensure that he reaches the bus stop on time.
Check your ward’s almanac daily. Do sign the remarks, if any, and take necessary action.
Ensure that your ward carries books/exercise books according to the Time-Table for that day. No extra books are allowed.
Ensure that he/she is prepared for the weekly tests. Also see his/her Report Card and teacher’s remarks in his class work/ home work exercise books and almanac.
Weekly Tests enable teachers and parents to assess the student’s performance/progress throughout the year. However if a child is ill he/she should not be sent to attend the test only. He/she will be assessed according to the prior tests he/she has appeared in. A medical certificate has to be sent the day the child returns to school or prior information sent to the school regarding the child’s absence from the Weekly Test or else the child will be marked absent and awarded a zero. The student is also assessed on the class work, home work and assignments given. Ensure your ward does and submits the work on time.
If a holiday is declared on a Monday/Friday then the Weekly Test of the said day will be conducted on the next working day unless notified otherwise.
The Report card is an important document. It should not be tampered with. Report card to be returned duly signed within 5 days after receiving it. Duplicate report card will be issued on payment of Rs.200/-fine.
Encourage your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports.
Nails should be trimmed regularly and cleaned every day.
Ceremonial threads should be tied on the upper arm and not on the wrist.
It is advisable to write to school about the problems of your ward or for seeking guidance. Your letters will be replied to after discussion with concerned teachers. In case of parents wanting discussions with more than one teacher, a meeting will be arranged with the concerned teachers.
It is mandatory to attend the Parent Teachers meeting organized by the school at regular intervals for interaction with your wards teachers.
The school counselor can be contracted for guidance.
A student should not carry more than the stipulated money to school Parents to intimate Class Teacher if the child needs to carry extra money for any purchase in school.
Children should not bring tablets, mobile phones, i-pads, camera expensive pens and watches etc. to the school. In case of violation of this rule the article will be confiscated. The school bears no responsibility for articles lost in school. In case of a loss, a letter giving detail of the loss, may be sent to the Class Teacher.
Children should not bring Holi colours or crackers to school. Bursting of crackers and playing with colours is liable to lead to suspension and even expulsion of a student from the school.
Your ward should be instructed to be careful about his/her things. There should be a name tag on blazers and sweaters and other articles.
If your ward is absent from school he/she must make up all the work missed by him/her.
If your ward is leave the school campus during school hours, guardian should obtain a gate pass from the principal. This must be presented to the class teacher at the time of leaving.
Students suffering from chronic diseases like asthma, epilepsy, rheumatic heart disease etc. are advised to be under continuous medical supervision of a specialist doctor. History of their illness must be filled up in Almanac along with the treatment being taken and a note sent.
Ensure that your child is sent to school after having proper breakfast; not only a glass of milk.
Plan further education of your wards beyond the school in good time so that they may be eligible to complete for the maximum number of institution for higher education.
